I’m a lonely astronaut at heart
Longing to be lost in space
Staring out into the great veil
Where nature is at it’s purest
Tumbling at it’s brightest
Up there, among spirals and photons
Amidst countless infinity
Staring at this one blue ball
It’s impossible not to feel minute
Humbling myself into rationale
But it’s lonely up here
And I love you so
I can’t escape gravity
Your stellar pull
Though galaxies collide
While eternity implodes
My love seems grander still
And oh, the grandeur of it all
Where will I be when the stars each cool
When space is vast and empty and time stops
Still waiting so patiently
As if love will find a way
In all of this infinity
Surely there is room for us
